Robovision’s Tim Waegeman kicked off the night with a tech primer on Advanced vision technology.

Next five Applied AI cases in Industry and Manufacturing were presented.

Stijn Debecker presented us an AI-powered solution for quality control in ArcelorMittal’s coil packaging line.

CNHindustrial’s Paul Snauwaert shed some light on their Smart Graincam. An AI powered multispectral camera rig for monitoring grain sample quality in combines.

Yazzoom’s David Verstraeten presented their Industry 4.0 solution for valorisation of flexible energy production for Umicore.

AI can help conquer much of today’s manufacturing challenges. Joeri Ruyssinck from ML2Grow taught us a thing or two on data-efficient optimisation of 3D printing jobs.

Breght Verstraeten showed us how Cegeka helped building more performant kilns by using AI to reduce production and maintenance cost and optimize quality.

These use cases were followed by two poster presentations: 2 minute elevator-pitch presentations by ML6 and Ghent University on ongoing AI-applications. The presenters elaborated further on these cases during network time after the ensuing Q&A round.
