Automatic fruit & Vegetable Recognition at Colruyt

Robovision developed Deep Learning-based smart cameras for Colruyt that can recognize more than 120 different types of fruit and vegetables at the cash desk. The Robovision AI platform enables Colruyt to train the cameras to recognize more products in the future without the need to hire data science experts. Thanks to the automatic product recognition, employees save valuable time and ultimately bring a better customer experience.

The neat thing about this use-case is that these algorithms are updated by the customers themselves. By using the user interfaces, they are annotating the data and thus improving the algorithms each day. This leads to rising accuracies and a truly robust system.
